Description

Soft & Gooey Chai Cinnamon Rolls with brown sugar chai filling, sticky caramel base, and creamy chai frosting. Perfect for fall breakfasts or cozy desserts!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups warm milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast
  • 4 3/4 cups flour
  • Spices: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Chai caramel sauce: cream, butter, brown sugar, honey, spices
  • Filling: butter, brown sugar, chai spice blend
  • Frosting: butter, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, spices

Instructions

  1. Bloom yeast with warm milk and sugar.
  2. Mix flour, spices, eggs, vanilla, and butter. Knead until smooth.
  3. Proof until doubled.
  4. Prepare chai caramel sauce and spread on pan.
  5. Roll dough, spread filling, slice, and place over caramel.
  6. Proof again 1 hour.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 30 mins.
  8. Frost with chai cream cheese icing and serve warm.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm. Store covered for 3–4 days or freeze unfrosted for up to 2 months. Reheat before serving.
