Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Filling: 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Glaze: 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 2-3 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients; mix until combined.
  5. Mix filling ingredients. Roll out dough, sprinkle filling, roll tightly, and slice into rounds.
  6. Bake 10–12 minutes or until golden.
  7. Whisk glaze and drizzle over cooled cookies before serving.

Notes

Chill the dough before slicing for perfect swirls. Store in an airtight container up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months.
