- 1 cup salted butter
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/3 cup sugar + 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- Whisk dry ingredients and combine.
- Shape dough, roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Bake 9–11 minutes at 350°F.
- Roll again in cinnamon sugar after baking for extra flavor.
Notes
Do not overbake! Slightly underdone cookies stay soft and chewy. Freeze dough balls up to 3 months for easy baking later.
