Loaded Apple Slices – A Fun and Healthy Snack Idea

  • Author: Chef Emma
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Loaded Apple Slices are a quick, no-bake snack made with crisp apple rings topped with creamy peanut butter, crunchy granola, and sweet chocolate chips. Perfect for after-school treats, playdates, or a light, nutritious breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji)
  • ½ cup peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter)
  • ½ cup granola
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • Optional: drizzle of honey, dried cranberries, chia seeds, or cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Wash and core apples. Slice into ¼-inch thick rings. If no apple corer, cut out the centers after slicing.
  2. Spread peanut butter over one side of each apple slice evenly.
  3. Sprinkle granola on top, pressing gently to adhere. Top with chocolate chips and any optional toppings.
  4. Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy immediately while fresh and crisp.

Notes

Brush apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning if prepping ahead. For an allergy-friendly version, use sunflower seed butter. Swap chocolate chips with dark chocolate chunks or cacao nibs for a healthier twist. Add crushed pretzels or nuts for extra crunch. Arrange as ‘Apple Nachos’ on a large platter for a party snack.
