Description
Loaded Apple Slices are a quick, no-bake snack made with crisp apple rings topped with creamy peanut butter, crunchy granola, and sweet chocolate chips. Perfect for after-school treats, playdates, or a light, nutritious breakfast.
Ingredients
- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji)
- ½ cup peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter)
- ½ cup granola
- ¼ cup chocolate chips
- Optional: drizzle of honey, dried cranberries, chia seeds, or cinnamon
Instructions
- Wash and core apples. Slice into ¼-inch thick rings. If no apple corer, cut out the centers after slicing.
- Spread peanut butter over one side of each apple slice evenly.
- Sprinkle granola on top, pressing gently to adhere. Top with chocolate chips and any optional toppings.
- Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy immediately while fresh and crisp.
Notes
Brush apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning if prepping ahead. For an allergy-friendly version, use sunflower seed butter. Swap chocolate chips with dark chocolate chunks or cacao nibs for a healthier twist. Add crushed pretzels or nuts for extra crunch. Arrange as ‘Apple Nachos’ on a large platter for a party snack.
