Description

Soft, fluffy, and topped with silky cream cheese icing — these Easy Homemade Cinnamon Rolls are bakery-perfect and ready for cozy weekends or holiday mornings.


Ingredients

  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 2 packets rapid-rise yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1½ cups warm water
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm butter, water, and egg. Mix until combined, adding flour gradually until soft dough forms.
  2. Knead until smooth, rest 10 min.
  3. Roll dough into rectangle, spread butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and slice into 12 rolls.
  4. Let rise 1 hr, then bake at 350°F for 25–30 min.
  5. Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla for icing; spread on warm rolls.

Notes

To make ahead, refrigerate overnight and bake fresh in the morning. Frost while warm for gooey bakery-style rolls.
