Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients in one bowl and dry ingredients in another. Combine until smooth.
  3. Bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. Beat frosting ingredients until fluffy and spread over cooled cake.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon on top before serving.

Notes

Use unsweetened applesauce. Cool cake fully before frosting. Store covered in the fridge for up to 4 days.
