- 1 fresh lemon – juiced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger – peeled and sliced or grated
- 1 tablespoon raw honey – adjust to taste
- 2 cups warm water – not boiling, just pleasantly warm
Instructions
- Gently warm the water until it’s pleasantly warm, not boiling.
- Juice the lemon into a mug or heat-safe glass and prepare the ginger.
- Add the ginger to the warm water and pour it over the lemon juice. Let steep for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the honey once slightly cooled. Adjust flavors to taste if desired.
- Enjoy warm, or chill and serve over ice.
Notes
For best results, use organic lemon and raw, unfiltered honey. Avoid boiling water to preserve nutrients.
