Description
Crispy, sweet, and savory Brussels sprouts tossed with smoky turkey bacon, toasted pecans, and a maple glaze. A 30-minute stovetop side dish that’s gluten-free, family-friendly, and perfect for cozy fall meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1½ lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
- 4 strips turkey bacon, diced into ½-inch pieces
- ½ cup pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Boil Brussels sprouts for 4–5 minutes until tender but bright green. Drain, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
- Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Add Brussels sprouts and pecans to the skillet; sauté until golden and crisp-edged.
- Sprinkle ground mustard, deglaze with apple cider vinegar, then drizzle in maple syrup. Cook 1 minute to thicken.
- Return bacon, toss everything together, season with salt and pepper, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crunch, roast the pecans separately and sprinkle before serving. These Brussels sprouts reheat perfectly in a skillet with a splash of water or oil.
